our urban culture has lost touch with the earth,

our food comes from the supermarket,

our milk out of a carton,

and it is hard to keep up with the changing seasons.

the earth itself is groaning under the strain

of having its resources exploited to meet our ever growing,

never satisfied desires.

“We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time.”

Romans 8 v 22

and yet

the earth reflects the glory of its Creator

and the immense potential for life and beauty.
