Click To Pray 2 (Visual Version)

In connection with Dream To Go 16, here's a visual way to ask a similar question. (Keep adding to the comments in the previous post too - click here)

In the image below are 5 "landscapes" (easy to think of more).

(Click on image to see a larger version)

Each represents a different "place" you might be:
  • City e.g. you're thinking a lot about career, purpose, what is my life for?
  • Beach e.g. life is basically going OK, or really well.
  • Mountain e.g. there is some mountain to climb for you right now - it feels too big.
  • Canyon e.g. there is a difficult path ahead, but you have to walk it, but it opens out eventually.
  • Desert e.g. looking for a path, or feeling dry and weary and needing refreshment.

... or maybe the landscapes suggest different life situations to you.

Which (if any) of these landscapes are you walking through at the moment?

Maybe you'd like to leave a comment, and as before, you might pray quickly for someone else who's posted.

I'm working through the Psalms at the moment trying to place them in different landscapes e.g. Desert (13, 63); Beach (16) and so on to represent what situation they describe, to give some kind of roadmap for the things we go through - not about glib answers or "here's a verse to make you feel better" ... much more than that - a sense that countless people have walked these landscapes before us, and their words are like footprints to follow.

Please feed in your ideas and thoughts about how this kind of visual approach could be helpful in your spiritual journey.

Thanks
Richard Lyall
