Greenbelt
There were fifteen or so people from Dream at Greenbelt which was fantastic - I was only able to get there for the Sunday.
The service we led seemed to go well. Perhaps we should have added to our risk assesment that after asking people to remove their shoes early in the service, when it came to the part where I smash the mirrors people had written on with a hammer, I would do two normal taps then a third massive crash sending shards of broken glass across me and the carpet!! (I realise now that the lump hammer on the day was a lot more powerful that the one I used before).
Thankfully it turned out that Ellen Louden who has been part of our "online" community was the 'official' on hand and she was VERY gracious (thank you Ellen, a drink on me next time you're around here.. in a safe plastic cup maybe?)
Did anyone take some nice snaps of the service and greenbelt as a whole? Do add them to our group photo album on the main dream website, or the facebook group and tell us here in the comments. Also love to hear any other feedback.
And a massive thank you to everyone who worked to put the whole thing together. Malcolm as always coordinated this big part of the Dream year brilliantly, but I reckon his job was made much easier by the fantastic shared effort.

And a big thanks from a "punter" at that service - it was wonderful! I tried to say thanks to Malcolm afterwards but the lump in my throat made it trickier than it might otherwise have been. A real GB highlight.

It was really great to be part of the team who'd put it together, and good to be there.
The venue was MUCH better than 2 years ago when I was there last. Seemed like a good crowd.
Must confess I came away feeling a bit ho hum, wondering how it had gone down or how it might have impacted people, esp after so much effort had gone in by the team.
So it's nice to hear that people were blessed - thanks Laura for leaving your comment.

I loved the challenges it had for me (I think!?!) but the best part for me had to be seeing my 11yr old daughter connect with the service for herself rather than needing to be attached at the hip to me; that's a massive step for her and one which freed me to be with God completely rather than be distracted by constant "is it time to go yet?"...she was disappointed it finished so soon!!!! A REALLY BIG thanks to all you guys who made it possible for the both of us. Wend x

I was one of the Venue stewards on duty that night, the look of horror on Ellems face was a picture, wish I had a camera :)

yep, I am sure I must have looked a bit freaked out - but it is amazing what you can do with a bit of gaffa tape wrapped round your hand! I am glad to have been about to help you all - it really was a pleasure. It was great to meet you (properly) and to feel physically part of the community. I continue to pray for you al and join in the lectio. much love. xxx
