A new appointment for the Dream Network!
Exciting News....After much negotiation, we've got our man! From September Richard White, a founder member of Dream in Haydock, will be working half-time as pastor to the Dream Network.
As the network has grown to five groups (with others possibly on stream) there has been a similarly growing need for someone with the time to coordinate the network, encourage new groups as they join and help exisiting groups to develop. Richard puts it this way here...
"My role will partly be to help the network continue to spread. At the same time, as the number of people for whom Dream is their only Christian community increases, I'll be mentoring existing groups in exploring how to address issues such as pastoral care, discipleship, all-age involvement, etc in ways that reflect our values and ethos."
Well put, Richard!
The other half of Richard's job is really exciting too, and will fit well with the Dream job; even plugging the network in to a national agenda! You can read more about that here and here.
The past four and a half years of the Dream journey have been amazing - here's to what comes next!
Malcolm
