Deeper, the twice monthly Sunday evening gathering at Liverpool Cathedral has been put "on hold" for the time being.
It's been clear that while there are lots of people who love the idea, the current pattern hasn't been quite right. There also seems to be a desire for more opportunities to meet in smaller groups.
So rather than just ploughing on we're going to stop and take some time to reflect, talk and pray before settling on the next step. You could call it pruning. Please give any feedback if you've been involved (or would like to have been) and watch this space!
Zone 2:Every Sunday during school term times at 10.30am, Cathedral worship now starts in two venues simultaneously. In the main space there is the traditional, choral service, while downstairs in the Concert Room there is Zone 2 which is a cathedral and Dream venture.
Zone 2 is café style and very informal, with all ages together. It is wonderful fun. We started at the beginning of March, expecting up to 20 people to come along and it quickly grew to 60.
All-age doesn’t mean aimed at kids, Zone 2 is for everyone. There is simple bible teaching, music and prayer stations. The emphasis is on building a community where everyone is welcome and able to get involved as much or as little as they like. If you are looking for a community on a Sunday morning which can become your spiritual home, come along and give Zone 2 a try.
On Saturday 4/4 (the week before Easter) at 4pm in the new Liverpool ONE shopping centre, we held our first 'Guerrilla Worship' gathering. It was kind of a Dream worship 'flash mob' and felt very, very special!
If you've come to this website through picking up one of our postcards in the reflection zone in Liverpool cathedral, we hope you'll enjoy browsing.
We are a network of groups in very different settings (workplaces, schools, churches and homes) all seeking to explore Christian spirituality in creative ways. Some of us are "into" church, others aren't, and we're learning a lot from each other as we journey together.
If you liked the reflection zone, you'll probably enjoy coming along to one of our groups.
